1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RunShift, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Service Description

RunShift is an AI-powered gaming challenge generator that creates unique gameplay challenges to help you break out of repetitive gaming habits. We provide:

AI Challenge Generation: Create custom gameplay challenges using advanced AI technology

Multi-Game Support: Challenges for 13+ popular games including Fortnite, Apex Legends, Warzone, The Finals, and more

Difficulty Scaling: 5 difficulty levels from Casual to Extreme

Challenge Types: Stealth, speedrun, pacifist, hardcore, and creative modes

Challenge Gallery: Browse and share community challenges

Daily Usage: Generate challenges based on your subscription tier

Digital access to your RunShift account is provided immediately upon registration. You're responsible for how you use the service and the challenges you choose to attempt.

3. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RunShift. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscription & Billing

§ Available Plans:

Free Tier: 5 challenge generations per day

- Access to all supported games

- All difficulty levels

- All challenge types

- Daily limit resets at midnight

Pro Plan: $9/month (or $90/year) for unlimited generations

- Unlimited daily challenge generations

- Priority AI processing

- Early access to new games

- No daily limits

§ Billing Terms:

Recurring charges happen monthly or annually based on your plan selection. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel.

5. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings or Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellations apply to the next billing cycle—you'll retain access until the end of your current paid period.

6. Refund Policy

All payments are non-refundable. No exceptions are made for unused accounts, forgotten cancellations, or user inactivity.

We may grant refunds at our sole discretion only for:

Technical failures preventing access for 7+ consecutive days

Duplicate charges due to processing errors

Fraudulent charges not authorized by you

7. Disputes & Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first is a breach of these Terms. This may result in immediate account termination, legal action to recover costs, and reporting to fraud prevention services.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using our service. By using RunShift, you grant us permission to:

Store your generated challenges and preferences

Display challenge data in the public gallery (if you choose to share)

Analyze usage patterns to improve our AI

You're responsible for ensuring your use of generated challenges complies with the terms of service of the games you play.

9. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated challenges are automated suggestions—they're guidance for entertainment, not guarantees of gameplay success. You use AI-generated challenges at your own discretion. We make no guarantees about challenge difficulty accuracy or completion rates.

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your usage data is processed for service delivery only.

10. Acceptable Use

Don't:

Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or abuse the service

Share your account or resell access

Use bots or scripts to circumvent daily limits

Violate any laws or third-party rights

Generate content intended to exploit or cheat in games

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Account Deletion

You can delete your account anytime from your profile settings. When you request account deletion:

Your account is marked for deletion immediately

You have a 48-hour grace period to cancel the deletion request

After 48 hours, all your data is permanently deleted

This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

12. Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or third-party failures (Stripe, Supabase, OpenAI, Vercel).

We can modify, update, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes to pricing or terms will be communicated 30 days in advance when possible.

13. Disclaimers & Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. We're not liable for AI accuracy, challenge difficulty, lost game progress, or any indirect damages. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

You're responsible for your use of challenges and any outcomes from playing games with our suggestions.

14. Privacy

We collect minimal data to provide the service (email, usage data, preferences). See our Privacy Policy for full details. We comply with GDPR and CCPA regulations.

15. Modifications

We can update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Check the "Effective Date" at the top to see when Terms were last updated.

16. Termination

We can terminate or suspend accounts for Terms violations, fraudulent activity, or chargebacks filed in bad faith. Upon termination, you lose access immediately and may forfeit any remaining subscription time.

17. General
